Hello everyone! Welcome to Mme Craigen's Music Website.

For the 2024/25 school year I am teaching all the Maternelle to Grade 5 music in the French immersion program, Mr. Walsh's Grade 1 music class and Mrs. Delaronde's Grade 4/5 music class.

Mr. D. Hrabi's music class and all the band classes are taught by Ms. Enns. 

Please check back periodically as this page will be updated with important information around concert times. 

***PLEASE NOTE: Grade 2 French Immersion students DO NOT need a recorder this year. There was a mixup with the school supply lists that were sent home and only Mr. D. Hrabi's Grade 2's (from the Grade 2/3 split) will be needing a recorder this year.

Tuesday, December 10^th 2024 - 7pm: Grade 6 – 8 Holiday Band Concert

Wednesday, December 11^th, 2024 - 2 & 7pm: Early Years Holiday Concert

*All K-2 classes, Mr. D. Hrabi’s Grade 2/3 class and Early Years Choir

Tuesday, May 27^th, 2025 - 2 & 7pm: Grade 3 – 5 Spring Musical Concert

*Grade 3 – 5 classes and Grade 4 & 5 actors (Mr. D. Hrabi’s class is not in this concert because they were at the holiday concert in December)

Wednesday, May 28^th, 2025 - 7pm: Spring Band & Honour Choir Concert

Music Clubs for this year:

Early Years Choir (for students in Grades 2 - 4). Practices are Day 2s at lunch recess from October to December. Early Years Choir will be performing at the Early Years Concert on Wednesday, December 11th at 2 & 7pm.

Wednesday, October 9th was our first official practice and we've now begun practicing our 3 songs for the concert: "Snow", "This Magic Season" and our finale song "We Wish You a Merry Holiday".

On October 1st, we had our first meeting where we shared when to come for Early Years Choir (in the music room on School Day 2s at lunch recess; and how students will head back to their classrooms to eat at the lunch time). Here were all the students who came for the meeting:

Honour Choir (for students in Grades 5 - 8). Practices will be Day 2s at lunch recess from February to May. Honour Choir will be performing at the Band Concert on Wednesday, May 28th at 7pm.
